Job Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Store Design, the Sr. Project Manager is responsible for overseeing global store design rollout and ensuring the brand consistency of Groupe Dynamite’s design elements for Garage and Dynamite.
Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in space analyses (survey coordination, schematic design, code analysis, etc.);
- Collaborate with internal teams (Leasing, Construction, Visual, Merchandising) to create layout studies based on design requirements and Groupe Dynamite’s design standards;
- Oversee the architecture and engineering consultants in the preparation of the permit/construction documents, landlord reviews and approvals, and revisions or scope clarification during the construction phase;
- Manage design project timelines and schedules;
- Review shop drawings and redline construction documents;
- Manage individual projects from start to finish, including budgeting, schedules, and site visits;
- Develop drawings using AutoCAD;
- Ensure design integrity;
- Participate in the design, development, and modifications of prototypes and fixtures;
- Support the development of design standards, tools, and processes.
Qualifications:
- Retail experience is an asset;
- Highly organized with an eye for detail;
- Highly creative and innovative;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet fast turnaround deadlines;
- Collaborative and team player.
Position Profile:
- Undergraduate degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field;
- 8+ years of retail experience in a similar position;
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec;
- Strong project management skills;
- Good design and presentation skills;
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp.
