About the role
We are seeking a seasoned consultant to temporarily lead its Enterprise Data Management team. Reporting directly to the Director of Enterprise Information Management (EIM), this leadership role is pivotal in advancing our client's data journey and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep expertise in data management and a proven ability to lead teams and engage stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Data Management Analysts and Engineers.

Oversee core data management functions including:

Master and reference data management
-
Data incident investigations
-
Data quality reporting and scorecarding
-
Data migration and conversions
-
Records and data lifecycle management
-
Establishment of data object communities of practice
-
Provide strategic direction for both operational and project-based data management initiatives.

Engage and manage stakeholders across all organizational levels.
-
Collaborate with business units to understand and address data management needs.
-
Contribute to the development and execution of a data management roadmap aligned with organizational maturity.

Support the implementation of data governance strategies, policies, standards, and guidelines.
-
Promote lean and agile methodologies in data management delivery models.
-
Lead organizational change management efforts to introduce new tools, templates, and processes.
-
Enable business data owners and stewards to progress on tailored data maturity roadmaps.
-
Ensure high data quality through effective tools, processes, and impact analysis.

Oversee the creation and enforcement of master data SOPs and data policies.
-
Communicate effectively through written and verbal channels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical, business, or digital disciplines, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in data migration, master data management, and/or data governance.
- Proven leadership in data migration and conversion projects.
- 5+ years of experience in complex data ecosystems, preferably with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- Experience with data migration/conversion platforms (e.g., Syniti ADM).
- Knowledge of data governance and platform development is an asset.
- Familiarity with SQL, Informatica (or similar data quality tools), and Collibra (or similar data governance platforms) is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
