Job Information
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about legal administration? Join our team as a Paralegal Assistant and play a key role in supporting the operations of Corporate Registries and the Office of the Superintendent of Securities.
As a Paralegal Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for the public, providing high-quality customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will process submissions, respond to inquiries, and maintain accurate registry records. This role requires strong administrative skills, legal knowledge, and the ability to work effectively within a team. This role requires vocational knowledge of legal administration and familiarity with corporate, commercial, securities, and property law.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept and process submissions from the public
- Respond to search requests and general inquiries
- Maintain and update registry records
- Handle and reconcile revenues
- Process documents in electronic systems
- Seal, scan, and mail documents
- Conduct registry searches and ensure records are in good order
- Provide support across other areas within Legal Registries as needed
Knowledge
- Legal administration and procedures
- Corporate, commercial, securities, and property law
- Ability to work in a regulated, team-based environment
Key Qualifications:
- A Grade 12 High School Diploma and a legal secretary certificate with 1-year secretarial experience; or equivalent.
