JOB TITLE:
Intermediate Application Consultant- Business Central
POSITION DETAILS:
Salary Range: $85,000 to $120,000 per year
Location: Hybrid – Ideal location Toronto, ON or Vancouver, BC
This job posting is for a new requirement.
TRAINING AND TRAVEL:
- A comprehensive in-person training program between 4 to 6 weeks is incorporated into onboarding.
- The position involves up to 50% travel across North America, depending on project needs.
- Candidates must have the legal authorization to travel within Canada and the U.S. without requiring employer-sponsored visas or additional visa processing.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Intermediate Application Consultant — Business Central is a platform generalist responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across a range of municipal and public sector clients. This role emphasizes core ERP competency — financials, reporting, workflow automation, and system integrations — with breadth across the Business Central ecosystem including ISV extensions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead end-to-end Business Central implementations: requirements, configuration, UAT, go-live, and hypercare.

Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and workflows for client reporting and process automation.

Lead UAT cycles and go-live activities for billing system deployments.

Deliver training sessions and create documentation for municipal end-users.

Stay current on BC updates, ISV extensions, and platform best practices.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Utilized Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support financial and operational processes within ERP environments.

Applied SQL and data querying to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and generate meaningful insights.

Contributed to ERP implementation methodology, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, and deployment.

Delivered effective customer-facing communication and training, ensuring successful user adoption and satisfaction.

Leveraged integration and API literacy to enable seamless data exchange between systems and third-party applications.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

Applied domain knowledge to support accurate processes, compliance, and customer account management.

Leveraged asset management fundamentals to improve tracking, maintenance planning, and lifecycle visibility.

Utilized understanding of municipal government operations to align systems and processes with public sector requirements.

Demonstrated strong problem-solving and support acumen to diagnose issues, implement solutions, and ensure service continuity.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Finance.

3+ years of experience in accounting and / or
-
3+ years of experience in technical/programming field.
