One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
Reporting to the Director of Organizational Health, the Manager of Quality and Risk Management as a valuable member of the Norwest Community Health Centre team, leads Quality Improvement planning and Risk Management across the organization while working in collaboration with managers, staff, and partnering community clinics; to provide high quality service delivery.
The Manager of Quality and Risk Management supports the development and monitoring of annual program plans, provides support and collaboration across program services; and provides leadership and technical expertise on an on-going basis for various initiatives while also providing oversight of program function, staffing, and reporting requirements.
The position has a competitive salary, the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan, and an excellent group health benefits package.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in a related field or a combination of educational preparation and applicable experience.
- Three to five years management experience in an applicable field.
- Certification in Lean or Six Sigma.
- Project Management experience an asset.
- Broad knowledge in the areas of community health, primary health care, and health promotion.
- Understanding and experience working in diverse, low income communities.
- Knowledge of the community-based health system and of a broad range of health determinants.
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
- Skills and experience in facilitation, building consensus, supporting teams.
- Competency with a range of software applications and knowledge with computerized work environments.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
