You will be on a regular Monday to Friday shift, and home every night! We are looking for a qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic (or a agriculture, truck and transport to automotive technician!) - Wage: $43.92 - $48.82 - Paid Time Off in Year 1: Vacation, sick and 7 days flex time - 6% Employer paid pension, plus up to 1.25% additional - 6% voluntary Employee Share Purchase, earns 2% Finning match - Employer paid medical benefits - CAT certified training: Additional certifications and skill development paid for by Finning Job Description: Assist with troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar equipment along with other mechanical equipment (Genie, JIg, Sullair, etc) Assist with a variety of shop repairs and diagnostics as required Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes) Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required Qualifications: Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification 3rd and 4th year HET apprentices may be considered based on skills Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail Drivers license and drivers abstract required Note: This position is located at our Edmonton TCRS branch, on a Monday – Friday (5x2) schedule A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator At Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
