days school is in session for students (Education Assistant)****
Rate of Pay: **** ****$33.69/hour (Education Assistant) **
**Duties & Responsibilities: **_
_
Under the direction of the Principal(s) and the general supervision of the
Classroom Teacher(s), provides assistance to students who have physical
disabilities, chronic health impairments, intellectual disabilities and/or
social, emotional and behavioural problems as designated by the Director of
Instruction, while supporting the achievement of stated programs goals and
objectives. Supervision of a designated area either inside or outside the
school, before, during and/or after school as defined by the terms of the
assignment.
This position will require the successful applicant to deliver a higher level of care** & **provide American Sign Language
** Qualifications: **_

Completion of Grade 12, a special program (such as the Capilano University
Education Assistant Program), and specialized training – ASLPI proficiency
level 3 – along with three (3) years of related experience. Valid Class 5
B.C. Driver's License. Knowledge of basic First Aid. Basic knowledge of
related learning tools (i.e., computers, etc.).
