About the role
Client: Province of New Brunswick Department: SNB-Technology Services Business Days: 130 days ** Closing Date/Time: September 30th, 2025, 10:30 AM EST Office Location: In Fredericton, Remote Estimated Work Start Date : 13-Oct-2025 Estimated Work End Date: 12-Apr-2026 Standard Hours per day: 7.25 hours work day Note
- The project team is located in Fredericton NB.
- The successful candidate could be allowed to work from a remote work location in Canada upon approval from the evaluation committee. No matter where the resource is located, the business hours will be from 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM Atlantic time.
- Travel outside the city of Fredericton is not expected. If the candidate is based outside the Fredericton region, it is the vendor’s responsibility to pay for the employee’s travel to and from their place of business (or home) and the Fredericton area. Additionally, the vendor will not charge SNB for employee travel time or expenses.
Deliverables Scrum Master Role The successful candidate must work with the HNB - Loans Project Team to deliver the following in order to successfully complete the engagement:
- Initiation to include creating project vision and identifying stakeholders.
- With support of other project Scrum Master(s) create/maintain the product backlog and participate in release planning.
- Planning and estimating work items including user stories, tasks, sprint backlog, etc.
- Participating in routine Scrum meetings such as Sprint Planning, Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Regular status updates to other project Scrum Master(s) and the Steering Committee.
- Implementation of the scanning and document management solution that integrates with the existing Housing New Brunswick (HNB) COTS solution, including creating various project deliverables and participating in the rollout to production.
Business Analyst Role
- Analysing the scanning and document management options currently identified as well as other potential options used both within GNB and externally.
- Gathering Requirements
- Identifying issues and risks
- Implementation support of the solution that integrates with the existing Housing New Brunswick (HNB) COTS solution.
- Working with the HNB Change Manager/Trainer to production of how to documents, SOPs and other supporting documents to be used by the HNB Maintenance and Support Team.
- Participating in User Acceptance Testing
- Conducting other Business Analyst tasks as required
The successful candidate will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to commencing the assignment.
Requirement Detail/Qualifications General Duties:
- Support the software development team.
- Work with both client and development team members to elicit requirements, write user stories, define goals, document requirements, and analyze business functions to become familiar with the business domain.
- Identify business work flows and determine stakeholder needs.
- Author test case specifications, requirements traceability documentation, and contribute to the compilation and execution of test plans.
- Support and contribute to the Agile practices adopted by the development team.
