What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinate daily dispatch operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and on-time delivery of ready-mix concrete to customer job sites.
- Schedule and optimize deliveries to meet customer demands and project timelines.
- Assign and direct truck drivers to delivery locations while monitoring delivery status and resolving delays in real time.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between drivers, operations teams, and customers to quickly address issues and maintain service levels.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, policies, and operational procedures.
- Accurately document orders, deliveries, and customer interactions within dispatch systems.
What Are We Looking For
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, contractors, drivers, and operations teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience in customer service, retail, logistics, dispatching, transportation coordination, or other fast-paced people-facing roles.
- Comfortable using computer-based dispatch systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.
Work Environment
- This role operates primarily in an office environment with frequent interaction with drivers, customers, and operations personnel. The position may also involve exposure to moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
