The Hospitality team at Glen Abbey Golf Club is seeking a dedicated and organized Banquet Team Lead to oversee small banquet operations and ensure exceptional service delivery during events. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in hospitality, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination of banquet staff during smaller events of 20-40ppl, including servers, bartenders, and setup crews.
- Ensure all banquet setups meet company standards and client expectations.
- Lead pre-event briefings to communicate event details, service standards, and assignments.
- Monitor service throughout events to ensure efficiency, quality, and guest satisfaction
- Address and resolve guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist in setup and teardown of banquet spaces as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen and event planning teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Bartend & serve as part of the Banquet Team for larger events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, banquet service, or event management (2+ years preferred)
- Bartending experience required
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-energy environment
