(Internal title: Project Controls IV)
- Control and apply the Project Controls Processes within the Project, and ensure compliance with mandated Process and Procedures
- Oversee and manage a team of project controls professionals, ensuring tasks are assigned and the team is supported with the tools to perform their roles
- Be an active point of escalation for the project controls team, through the Project Controls Director and above, working to provide a way forward
- Responsible for monthly Project Reporting as relates to Schedule, Cost, Risk & Estimating, and developing the appropriate channels for this information to be presented and shared
- Provide forecasted Schedule & Cost intelligence to support Client decision making, and where appropriate provide recovery and/or improvement scenarios that are to be considered
- Champion the Metrolinx Lean Agenda and actively review Project Controls Processes & Procedures on a regular basis to ensure they remain efficient & fit for purpose
- Be the custodian of the Project Baseline (Cost, Schedule, Scope & Risk), ensuring that all the governance and control procedures are in place to manage any changes to the Project Baseline
- Manage those baseline change initiatives that are required to proceed to approval committees (PEC, CCB, IP, TB), ensuring all governance is applied and stakeholders are engaged appropriately across all Client organizations
- Working with the Change Lead to assess & model any proposed changes as may impact Cost, Schedule, Scope or Risk
- Review and comment on DevCo submittals to Contracting Authority, including but not limited to schedule progress, cost performance, submittals, processes and procedures
- Overseeing the Document & Submittal Management and Reporting teams in the services provided across the Project
- Work with DevCo to ensure that all Project Controls Processes and Procedures are being followed appropriately, and collaboratively exploring any opportunity for improvement to the benefit of the Project
- Coordinating with Metrolinx, Infrastructure Ontario and contractor in developing and maintaining the project controls management plan
- To collaborate with DevCo and Contracting Authority to ensure high quality and transparent integrated design, procurement, construction and commission and handover schedules for the DPA and PA Contracts
- Attend and contribute to the Project Controls Management Meeting (Working Group)

Bachelor's degree in Cost Engineering, Construction Management or Finance (or equivalent experience)

Minimum 10 years project controls experience

Minimum 5 years in management, leadership role, preferably within a Mega Project environment

Experience with Oracle Unifier or other Large ERP is preferred, Primavera P6 and PRA, Acumen Fuse (or similar)

Holding recognized certification with one or more of these professional institutions: Project Management Institute (PMI), American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE)
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Thorough knowledge in Scheduling Software (e.g. P6), Cost Software (e.g. Ecosys), Estimating software, Risk software (e.g. ARM), etc.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent competency in identifying and minimizing risks
- Ability to detect and capitalize on others' strengths
- Strong supervision, delegation, and capacity development
- Must maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies in Project Controls and Project Management software
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate favorable terms under contracts
- Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership
- Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities
- Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving sensitive information (written and verbal)
- Expert ability to work collaboratively and independently in a structured, disciplined, technology-driven environment
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
