École McTavish High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Junior High Physical Education.
Requirements: The ideal candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Bachelor of Education.
Desired Qualifications/Skills: It will be an asset to have:
- Knowledge of teaching junior high or high school Physical Education.
- Ability to work in a team environment with staff and parents.
- A base knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques.
- Effective organization skills and classroom management.
- Ability to utilize technology as an instructional tool.
- An ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans for special needs students.
- A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom
- An interest in teaching a wide variety of electives.
- A commitment to continuous professional growth and a strong ability to connect and build relationships with junior high and high school students.
- Open to teaching a variety of elective classes or other core classes as required.
