About The Role
We are seeking a motivated Heavy Duty Equipment Journeyperson to join our team in Edmonton. In this hands-on role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of a diverse fleet of specialized municipal and public works equipment. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty vehicles while working alongside a collaborative team that supports continuous learning, professional development, and career growth.
What You’ll Do
Perform inspections, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty and specialized municipal equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Repair and maintain vacuum trucks, hydro-vac units, street sweepers, refuse and recycling trucks, sewer inspection equipment, and other specialty vehicles. Complete work orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining service documentation. Collaborate with the Service Writer, Parts Department, and fellow technicians to maximize equipment uptime and customer satisfaction. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and regulatory safety standards.

Position Details
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Status: Permanent, Full-Time
Compensation Type: Hourly (overtime paid in accordance with applicable employment legislation)
Schedule: Monday to Friday; occasional extended hours may be required based on operational needs
Travel: 0–2%

What You Bring
Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Journeyperson certification (required). Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred. Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Welding ability a strong asset Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driver's abstract. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship. Positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
Work Environment And Physical Requirements
Shop, yard, warehouse settings. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and components. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
