Description:

The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for performing inspections and audits on aircraft,

components, and maintenance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements,

company procedures, and safety standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the

airworthiness of aircraft and ensuring the integrity of maintenance operations.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct inspections of aircraft and components during maintenance, repair, and

overhaul (MRO) activities. Provide feedback to ACAs, Chief Inspector and Director

Quality Assurance.

  • Ensure compliance with Transport Canada (or other relevant airworthiness authority)

regulations, manufacturer specifications, and internal quality procedures

  • Verify that all work is properly documented and signed off in accordance with regulatory

and company requirements

  • Perform internal audits of maintenance processes and facilities.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are

implemented effectively

  • Monitor calibration of tools and equipment used in maintenance activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable airworthiness directives, service bulletins,

and regulatory changes

  • Support QA and Chief Inspector during investigations into quality issues, incidents, and

root cause analysis.

  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel to promote a safety-first, quality-focused

culture

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all activities
  • Actively participate in AAR Windsor’s Safety Management System (SMS) including

reporting safety hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understands and

promotes the company safety policy

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license required
  • Certification as a Quality Auditor preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation maintenance or MRO environment
  • Strong knowledge of CARS, FAA, EASA regulations
  • Auditor course – will provide internally as required
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) skills
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, techniques and tools considered an

asset
