Description Position at Canadian Medical Protective Association ■ Research Student, Member Experience Planning & Effectiveness CONTRIBUTING TO THE CMPA
Member Experience Planning & Effectiveness (MEPE) provides centralized project management, evaluation and monitoring, data analysis and reporting, operational and administrative support, along with high level coordination of activities and responsibilities within the Member Experience portfolio. Supporting the work of the Medico-Legal Services and Physician Support and Wellness departments, with a specific focus on physician wellbeing, while mitigating medico-legal risk, supporting the delivery of safe medical care, and promoting principles of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI).
Position Overview Reporting to the Program & Evaluation Lead, and working closely with the broader team, the research student will engage in various departmental projects and initiatives to support growth and achievement of key annual deliverables. The successful candidate will participate in evaluating current programs, contribute to the development of evaluation frameworks and assist the MEPE Projects and Planning Team in developing workload metrics, project tools and templates.
POSITION ACTIVITIES
- Assist with data collection and survey compilation for evaluation and measurement activities
- Support development and implementation of evaluation plans
- Develop tools and templates for project management
- Collaborate with teammates to transform knowledge to Senior Leadership
Education And Experience
- Enrolled in an academic program with a focus on Information Studies, Health Sciences, Evaluation, Public Health, Health Policy, Project Management, or other applicable field, such as Social Science Research or Education
- Experience in data management and information management
- Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative research
- Experience working with Office 365 and related software
Skills And Abilities
- Strong organizational skills with attention to quality, detail, and accuracy
- Embodies a solution and results-oriented mindset
- A strategic, analytical, and critical thinker
- Ability to develop data-driven insights
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to read French is an asset
POSTING DETAILS
- Job type: This is a temporary, full-time position from January 2026 to April 2026
- Salary range: Between $19.75-$25.50/hourly
- Location: Fully Remote Job, working from a home-based office anywhere in the provinces of Ontario and Québec
- Students are defined as individuals who are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution during the year that they are employed. To be considered for a position, candidates must be enrolled in an academic program from January to April 2026.
