Title: Community Health Nurse

Salary: $94,724 - $114,261 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Permanent, 1 positions available

Hours: Part-time - 37.5 Hours per week, 4 week on, 4 week off

Location: Klemtu

Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada)

About The Role As the Community Health Nurse, you will provide a comprehensive range of core nursing functions and services (community / public health, primary care and home care) in First Nations communities. You will work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team. You will focus on promoting health, preventing disease and injury, protecting population health, as well as a focus on curative, rehabilitation, and supportive or palliative care.

About You To be successful in this role you will have / be:

  • A bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Current registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP).
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license.
  • An understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols.
  • Knowledge of nursing processes.
  • Must be Remote certified (RNC) with BCCNM

You may have experience in;

  • Public health, Home Care Nursing, Community Health (1 – 2 years)

BC Remote Certification FNHA Community Health Nurse, have or are working towards Remote Certification (RNC) and can live anywhere in Canada. If you are currently not Remote Certified, speak with us today on how we can help you obtain your RNC, with extensive training, travel and salary paid for while you’re pursuing your certification.

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.
