Job Description Job Title: Hardware Engineering Co-op/Intern

Number of Position(s): 1

Location: Onsite - Ottawa

Duration: 12 months

Date: Jan-Dec 2026

Education Recommendations: Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Support Design activities - Analysis, simulation, component engineering.
  • Hardware verification activities for Optical Line System products
  • Generate Lab Test Automation and Documentation of Lab Test results.
  • Gain exposure to, as well as hands-on experience, with integration of HW/Optical/FW/Mechanical elements telecommunications products.

Key Skills And Experience You're a great fit if you have:

  • Sound knowledge of electronic circuit and system design principles and embedded HW technologies (FPGA, processors, Memory, Power converters).
  • Exposure to Electro-Optic technologies and components, Lab Instruments and scripting tools (e.g., Python, Matlab) for automation, simulation, and testing.
  • Excellent communication skills.
