Head, Program Development, Quality & Impact
About the role
Girl Guides of Canada (GGC) is the leading organization for girls and women in Canada, with over 76,000 members across the country. Guiding provides a safe environment that invites girls and youth to challenge themselves, find their voice, meet new friends, have fun, and make a difference in the world. Girl Guides’ innovative programming is helping the next generation of girls across Canada to become confident, courageous, and resourceful leaders. GGC seeks a visionary leader to join their senior team as Head, Program Development, Quality & Impact - a role that will shape the future of youth empowerment across Canada.
As the Head of Program Development, Quality and Impact, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and advancing national youth programming at Girl Guides of Canada. You will oversee the design and continuous improvement of inclusive, engaging, and evidence-based programs that align with the organization’s mission and strategic goals. This role leads the development of a multi-year program strategy, ensures consistent program delivery across Canada, and embeds a culture of safety, evaluation, and continuous learning. You will also champion youth advocacy, guide risk management practices, and foster partnerships to amplify program impact. Working closely with volunteers, staff, and external stakeholders, you will drive measurable outcomes and position GGC as a leader in positive youth development.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with 7–10 years of senior experience in a national not-for-profit youth organization, ideally holding a Master’s degree in youth development, education, or a related field. You bring expertise in program development, evaluation, and risk management, along with a deep commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Most importantly, you are passionate about creating transformative experiences for girls and youth.
At GGC, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on communities across Canada and help shape a better world - by girls. If you are ready to lead change and empower the next generation, we invite you to reach out.
