As the Manager, Enterprise Architecture for the Calgary Police Service (CPS), you will lead and govern the organization's enterprise-wide architecture strategy with a specialized focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will establish technology standards, ensure alignment with business objectives, and oversee the design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions that support strategic priorities. Primary duties include:
- Provide leadership to Solution Architects, implementing cohesive and future-ready solutions across the enterprise.
- Define, maintain, and lead CPS' enterprise architecture framework, including business, data, application, and technology domains.
- Develop and maintain CPS's AI strategy, policies, and practices to ensure alignment with the organization's goals, governance standards, and Enterprise Architecture framework.
- Lead the AI practice in delivering safe, secure, and trusted technologies that generate measurable business value.
- Responsible for the ethical AI principles through risk mitigation and compliance across all initiatives.
- Assess current technology capabilities and identify opportunities for modernization and innovation.
- Oversee the implementation of Architecture and AI solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- A degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of 8 years directly related experience in technology architecture, solution design, and implementation, with a focus on digital transformation.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience driving innovation through the leadership and management of complex technical architecture initiatives is required.
- Previous experience in a public sector and/or law enforcement/criminal justice environment will also be considered an asset.

- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

Compensation: Level P4 $123,400 - 154,300 per annum
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
