About Thrive Thrive Creative Ltd. is a Calgary-based fractional engineering firm. We embed directly into our clients' operations as their full engineering department — strategy, design, development, and project management all under one retainer. We work with funded startups, growing SMBs, and mission-driven organizations across Alberta who are ready to Flip the SaaS model on its head. We are small, fast, and still figuring out which growth channels work best for us. That is exactly why this role exists. The opportunity You will get to run experiments, build outreach campaigns, research markets, and see which channels actually move the needle for a growing service business. We will give you direction and support, but we are intentionally leaving this open-ended. we want you to bring your ideas, try things, measure what happens, and come back with what you learned.   • Market research — study our target segments (funded Alberta startups, SMBs with legacy tech debt, mission-driven organizations), map competitors, and help us sharpen our positioning.
  • Outreach strategy — build and test outbound campaigns across LinkedIn, email, and partnership channels. Draft messaging, track response rates, iterate.
  • Growth experiments — run small, measurable marketing experiments (content tests, ad campaigns, referral programs, partnership pilots) and report on what worked.
  • Content support — help produce LinkedIn posts, case studies, and sales collateral whatever the current growth priority calls for.
  • Lead qualification — where outreach generates interest, help qualify leads and move them toward a conversation with our team. Who we're looking for You are a marketing or business minded individual who see this kind of role as a chance to take the ball and run with it the real world.
  • You are curious about how businesses grow and not afraid to try things that might not work.
  • You write clearly and can speak confidently about your ideas.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and can turn a rough direction into a plan.
  • You understand that marketing in 2026 is a mix of creativity, data, and tools (including AI) and you are interested in working across all three.
  • Bonus if you have dabbled with LinkedIn, social content, email marketing platforms, or analytics tools, but not required. Support and mentorship

You will be supported by our Director of Marketing and by our founder directly. You will have regular check-ins, real-time feedback on your ideas, and access to the team whenever you need help. We want this to be the kind of role you look back on as the moment you figured out what you are actually good at. That said, support is different from supervision. We are not going to write your plans for you or hold your hand through every task. We will give you a direction, help you think it through, and then let you run. Compensation This role is commission-based. We are a small startup and do not currently offer a base salary for this position we want to be upfront about that so you can make an informed decision. The commission structure is tied to measurable outcomes from your outreach and growth work (qualified leads and new client engagements that result from your efforts).
