NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde – Corporate Facilities Previous applicants need not apply An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Corporate Facilities team for an experienced and dynamic Head of Transport and Travel . As a Senior Manager within the Estates and Facilities Management Directorate, you will provide leadership and strategic direction for transport and travel planning across the organisation. This includes managing the Board’s fleet, developing policies and services, and leading staff to ensure an efficient, safe and resilient transport service.
You will play a key role in supporting the Board’s strategic priorities, including sustainability, by overseeing the Travel Planning Office and driving initiatives that improve our carbon footprint. Collaboration with a wide range of partner organisations will also be central to the role, where your specialist knowledge and advice will shape long-term improvements.
About You We are seeking a highly motivated individual with:
- Proven experience at a senior level in managing a large fleet of commercial vehicles.
- Strong expertise in transport and travel planning.
- Degree-level education (or equivalent experience).
- A Transport Management Certificate of Professional Competence.
- Membership of a relevant professional body.
