We are seeking a Valuation Analyst to join our growing team. As a Valuation Associate at Aspen, you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of valuation assignments, from private company valuations and financial reporting to transaction advisory and strategic analysis. You’ll work closely with senior professionals, learning directly from experienced valuators while contributing to meaningful client engagements from day one.

What you’ll do

Assist in preparing business valuation analyses for various purposes including tax, financial reporting, and transaction advisory.

Conduct industry and economic research and analyze company financial statements.

Support financial modeling and valuation using income, market, and asset-based approaches.

Help draft valuation reports and presentations for clients.

Work with databases and software to collect, analyze, and visualize financial and market data.

Learn and apply programming and automation tools to improve valuation processes (e.g., Excel, Python, R, or SQL).

Collaborate directly with senior professionals, gaining mentorship and hands-on experience across diverse industries.
What we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field .

Demonstrated understanding of business valuation concepts, corporate finance, or financial modeling (through coursework, projects, or internships).

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with coding languages (Python, R, SQL, or VBA) is an asset.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High motivation to learn, problem-solve, and contribute in a team-oriented environment..

Pursuing or demonstrating a strong interest in obtaining a professional designation such as the CBV, CFA , or an equivalent qualification.
