What will you do?
The Manufacturing Master Data Steward ensures accuracy, consistency, governance, and integrity of all manufacturing master data at the plant, including Material Master, Bills of Material (BOM), Routings, Operations, and Work Centers. The role collaborates with Engineering, Production/Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and IT to support operational efficiency, cost accuracy, and data-driven decision-making.
Scope of Accountability
In scope: Material Master (plant views), BOM, Routing, Operations, and Work Centers.
Out of scope: Customer and Vendor master data.
Key Responsibilities
Data Governance & Standards:
- Maintain plant-level data standards and definitions.
- Ensure alignment of SAP master data with physical factory operations.
- Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and governance documentation.
Master Data Operations & Change Control
- Execute and coordinate SAP create/change requests for Materials, BOMs, Routings, and Work Centers.
- Validate completeness and accuracy of requests before processing.
- Support engineering changes, new product introduction, and production adjustments.
Data Quality Monitoring & Issue Resolution
- Conduct regular audits of master data and identify inconsistencies.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Communicate business impacts of data issues to relevant stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as primary plant contact for Master data topics.
- Support Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Finance, and IT teams.
- Facilitate alignment and shared responsibility for data accuracy.
Continuous Improvement & Digitalization
- Support digitalization and automation initiatives involving SAP data.
- Utilize Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and SQL for analytics and data validation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data accuracy and governance.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of SAP MM/PP experience in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of Material Master, BOM, Routing, Work Centers, and MRP/costing parameters.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and basic SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or relevant field.
- Experience with Power Automate and/or Python scripting.
- Familiarity with SAP LSMW, MDG, or mass maintenance tools.
- Experience with costing, inventory management, or production planning.
- French language proficiency.
Working Conditions
On-site role at the plant with some hybrid flexibility where applicable. May require occasional support during system cutovers, audits, or financial close cycles.
