About the role
The Agile Scrum Lead will support multiple Data & Analytics product teams by facilitating Agile delivery practices and ensuring effective execution of Scrum ceremonies. This role is focused on enabling team cadence and continuous improvement, rather than direct delivery ownership or resource management. The Scrum Lead will work with 1–4 concurrent product teams, partnering closely with Product Owners, analytics developers, and business stakeholders to maintain healthy backlogs, ensure sprint readiness, and drive efficient, predictable delivery.
Deliverables: Facilitate all Agile ceremonies for assigned teams, ensuring consistency and effectiveness. Maintain well-defined, prioritized, and sprint-ready backlogs in Azure DevOps in collaboration with Product Owners. Ensure sprint commitments are clear, measurable, and achievable. Track and communicate sprint progress, risks, and impediments to stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement through actionable retrospectives and follow-through on improvements. Support coordination across multiple product teams to manage dependencies and delivery alignment. Promote and reinforce Agile best practices and team accountability. Provide visibility into team capacity, velocity, and delivery predictability
Mandatory Experience:
- 2+ years of experience functioning as a Scrum Master or Agile Lead in a delivery environment.
- Proven experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies. (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives)
- Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps. (Boards, backlogs, sprint tracking)
- Experience managing and maintaining Agile backlogs in collaboration with Product Owners.
- Demonstrated ability to support multiple concurrent teams and manage competing priorities.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
Desired Experience: Experience supporting Data & Analytics, BI, or data platform teams. Familiarity with Azure-based analytics platforms. (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, Fabric, Power BI) Exposure to environments with multiple product teams and shared resources. Experience scaling Agile practices across multiple teams or portfoliosExperience driving Agile maturity and continuous. improvement within teams. Understanding of data delivery challenges (data dependencies, pipeline orchestration, data quality considerations)
Certifications (if required) 1. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I), or equivalent Agile certification 2. Advanced Agile certifications (e.g., PSM II, PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master) 3.Training or certification in Agile coaching, facilitation, or Lean practices 4. Microsoft Azure fundamentals or data/analytics-related certifications (e.g., Azure Data Fundamentals, Azure Data Engineer Associate)
