Quality Assurance Inspector (Evening Shift)
Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Inspector (Evening Shift) is responsible for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and cable assemblies to ensure they meet established quality standards. Main tasks include maintaining accurate inspection records, addressing audit issues, handling defective materials, and supporting root-cause analysis and corrective actions. This position's schedule is Monday-Thursday, 5:00 PM-3:30 AM, working four 10-hour shifts.
The Successful Candidate's Responsibilities Will Include
- In-process and final inspection of printed circuit boards / assemblies (PCB / PCBAs), cable assemblies according to the quality, performance, and acceptance criteria defined by IPC-A-610 / IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and other manufacturing drawings/documents.
- Maintain inspection records utilizing many different electronic information systems.
- Assist in the resolution of audit findings, observations, and recommendations.
- Assist with the control and disposition of non-conforming material (MRB).
- Assist with the resolution to internal/external nonconformance using root cause, corrective action, and 8D methodologies.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Strong digital, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner.
- Proficient working with inspection tools: microscope, magnifier, caliper, micrometer.
- IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 / IPCWHMA-A-620 certification an asset.
- Experience in operating/programming Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) an asset.
- Experience with ISO9001:2015 and/or ISO13485:2016 Quality Management Systems an asset.
