Grade**:** SGEU.08.
The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety, Corporate Services is seeking a highly motivated, well-organized individual for the challenging position of Financial Administrative Assistant. This position reports to the Manager of Finance and Business Operations in the Business Strategy Risk Management department.
The successful candidate will:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial forecasts for multiple program areas.
- Compile and present financial information for senior and executive management.
- Develop reports to assist Management, Provincial Audit, Finance, and Treasury Board in reviewing financial activities.
- Reconcile accounts for quarterly and year-end reviews.
- Lead Trust account reviews, assist with reconciliation issues, and report findings to senior management.
- ensuring compliance with relevant Acts and financial controls.
- Administer and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Provide administrative and accounting support to other branches within CPPS.
- Perform additional administrative duties as required.
The successful candidate will be:
- Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all tasks.
- Professional, responsible, and accountable in their work.
- Flexible and adaptable, embracing diversity and equality.
- Committed to excellence, demonstrating leadership and professionalism.
Typically, this knowledge is gained through an accounting diploma and/or work experience.

Hours of Work**:** A - SGEU Office 36 - one day off every two weeks
