Job Summary We are actively recruiting for a Production Supervisor at our Niagara Falls facility to supervise, develop and lead all activities of the bottle shop and sanitation in the areas of safety, quality, performance, cost and customer satisfaction.
Production Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, plan and optimize daily production requirement as per production schedule (labor, product change over, component supply, etc.)
- Troubleshooting equipment breakdown and developing plans to ensure production continues
- Developing and training operations staff on new programs centered on safety
- Completing all required administrative work (payroll / FCR / DOR / vacation schedules / e-mail etc.) to ensure a smooth transition of knowledge and data around the organization on our daily performance
- Kronos supervision
- Hire, train and develop employees
Continuous Improvement
- Reach target for CI key performance indicator: Line startup, Line change, Right first time, etc. + Production KPI: Line speed (downtime), Overtime, General case per hour, etc.
- 5S mentality and identification.
HACCP And ISO
- Attention to detail, ensure adherence to all procedures and information correctly filled out by employees.
Meeting
- Actively manage on the shop floor and participate in meetings, which may include: daily production meeting, weekly operation, weekly maintenance-production, monthly union employee meeting, 2months Lead-Hand meeting, Employee evaluation, etc.
Health and Safety
- Ensure production area is operating safely and efficiently towards achieving our required daily results, ensures the safety, mental and physical health of production staff during shift, member or the committee, Health Safety (risk analysis, injury, committee, etc.)
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
Qualifications
- College graduate
- 3-5 years' supervisory experience
- Manufacturing principal and practice (time study/constraint analysis, etc.)
- Computer literate (Excel, JDE, Kronos, etc.)
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Agility to work under tight deadline
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Mechanical aptitude

COMPENSATION: Budgeted Range – ($78,200.00 - $101,200.00)
The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
