The Opportunity
We are seeking a Creative Lead - Marketing Specialist to join our in-house marketing team. This role blends marketing campaign strategy, brand direction withcreative leadership and design expertise.
You will guide how Big White is marketed as Canada’s Favourite Family Resort by providing brand guidelines and creative direction for campaigns, while ensuring the design and production of collateral align with strategic objectives. Based on-mountain, you’ll collaborate with resort departments, photographers, contractors, and external partners to deliver consistent and impactful campaigns across print, digital, social, and on-mountain platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Campaign Strategy
- Contribute to the planning and rollout of marketing campaigns, ensuring creative execution supports the resort’s positioning as Canada’s Favourite Family Resort.
- Analyse guest demographics, market research, and tourism trends to identify opportunities for campaign development.
- Advise internal stakeholders on creative approaches to strengthen brand storytelling and maximize campaign impact.
- Monitor campaign performance, preparing reports and recommending improvements.
- Support partnerships, collaborations, and community events with campaign-driven creative assets.
Creative Leadership & Brand Direction
- Guide the creative vision for marketing campaigns, establishing brand guidelines and ensuring all collateral reflects consistent storytelling and guest engagement.
- Oversee the creative development and production of campaign materials (brochures, posters, trail maps, signage, merchandise graphics, digital assets), ensuring alignment with marketing objectives.
- Translate marketing strategies into compelling design directions for team members and external partners to execute under your guidance, ensuring creative work aligns with brand standards and campaign goals.
- Direct in-house and contract photographers/videographers to produce social and multimedia content that supports campaign strategies.
- Maintain and evolve the resort’s visual identity system, reinforcing brand standards across all communications and platforms.
Collaboration & Workflow
- Work directly with Sales & Marketing leadership and other departments to align creative output with operational priorities and campaign strategies.
- Prioritize creative requests, oversee timelines, and track campaign outcomes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with external agencies, contractors, and partners to deliver high-quality campaign materials on time and on brand.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or a closely related field (Required)
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in advertising, marketing, or design roles, ideally within tourism, sports, or hospitality.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing marketing campaigns and design work.
- Knowledge of digital marketing platforms, branding, and campaign analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with the ability to balance strategy, leadership, and design execution.
