About the role
Scope of Position
This role supports Alterna members and Alterna Bank clients via member initiated contact or proactive outreach through our Contact Centre. This is a Contact Centre senior agent role, with focus on engaging virtually with members/clients to explore, understand and meet their overall financial needs. The successful candidates will provide sound financial advice and solutions with optimal member/clients focus. Sales are driven by providing solutions to members/clients through effective interviewing and probing and then providing investment/Wealth and credit solutions.
Major Responsibilities

Meet sales targets by delivering products and services that puts the member/client’s needs first

Identifies, receives, investigates, and analyzes requests for products from a variety of sources
-
Refers complex investment needs to Alterna’s Wealth team and refers complex lending to Alterna’s branch team
-
Specializes in investment/wealth calls or Credit calls, by providing products and services and closing the loop in the sales process for these members and clients
-
Maximize sales opportunities by probing to uncover additional needs to cross sell and up sell at every interaction by looking for potential opportunities on every call.

Maximizes sales opportunities by using effective sales interviewing skills that uncover longer term financial needs.

Provide financial advice with investment/credit needs requiring moderate financial solutions

Adheres to all sales and service processes for Contact Centre

Other duties as assigned.

Consistent exceptional member/client service provided to both internal and external clients to satisfy needs

Adhere to all company policies, compliance and regulatory requirements on a consistent basis

The ability and confidence to upsell and cross sell a full suite of product/services to generate/support revenue goals
Qualifications
Education / Certification / Experience
-
Post-Secondary Education in a related business field and/or equivalent work experience
-
Minimum 3 years sales experience or experience in a client servicing role with proven sales results
-
IFIC/CSC Licensing required or must be attained within 1 year in role.
Knowledge / Skills
-
Proven ability in sales and service
-
Comprehensive knowledge of products, services and delivery channels
-
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
-
Excellent listening skills
-
Ability to convey information to the audience in question (existing client; potential purchaser of service, new client, etc.)

High level of proficiency with and ability to effectively learn, computer programs
