Position Overview
Functions under the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Seven Oaks General Hospital Programs. Under direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, performs duties specific to the Program. Assists with assigned patient care, cleaning and other duties related to maintaining a safe clean environment. The time spent on assigned duties will vary between Programs, dependent upon Program requirements. Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
Experience
Minimum of 1-2 years recent relevant experience essential.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Minimum Grade 10. Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized college, and/or successful completion of all required second year Baccalaureate Nursing Program courses is essential.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
BCLS and/or Heart Saver (plus 2 man) where required.
Qualifications And Skills
Written and verbal command of the English language essential. Good communication skills essential. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.

This Indefinite Term may expire subject to one (1) weeks’ notice.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden Door Geriatric Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
Interviewed candidates may be called upon to participate in a skills assessment.
