Job Description 4-month contract starting in May 2026 Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Our Program Implementation & Performance Team is seeking a Co-op, Program Implementation & Performance to support divisional initiatives focused on program implementation, stakeholder engagement coordination, and performance reporting across Community, Communications & Stakeholder Relations (CCSR). This role will report to the Manager, Program Implementation & Performance.
What will I be doing?
- Support coordination of divisional initiatives related to stakeholder engagement, community experience programs, and digital engagement tools.
- Assist in tracking project activities, milestones, and deliverables for PI&P initiatives and maintaining project documentation.
- Support preparation of reports, briefing materials, and presentations related to divisional initiatives and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Assist with data organization and analysis related to engagement activities, stakeholder interactions, and divisional performance metrics.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of processes, templates, and standard operating procedures that support CCSR.
- Conduct research and environmental scans on leading practices in program implementation, digital tools, governance, change management, project delivery, and business performance to support divisional initiatives.
- Support coordination of internal meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Assist with maintaining information repositories, dashboards, and tracking tools used by the PI&P team to monitor progress and performance.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
- Must be attending school full-time and returning to an academic institution
- Must be at least 15 years of age before starting employment
- Enrolled in Business Administration, Commerce, Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Communications, or a or similar/related program at a post-secondary institution
- Preference will be given to students who can commence work in May 2026
- Competence in software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience in research, data input and analysis are an asset
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Ability to synthesize information and present findings clearly in written summaries or presentations
- Experience working with datasets, dashboards, or reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar tools) is an asset
- Interest in stakeholder engagement, governance, or public sector program delivery
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively across teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain organized documentation
- Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Asana, Customer Relation Management platforms) is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders
