Senior React Developer with Interest in Rails & React Native
About the role
Scalable Path is looking for a Senior React Developer with an Interest in Rails & React Native to join the team and work on a client project. This is a remote, 40-hour/week position.
Client company description:
The client is an online community and resource hub for real estate investors. It offers education, podcasts, forums, and tools that help people learn, network, analyze deals, and grow wealth through real estate investing. The have an extensive content library with 15 years of content including books, blogs, podcasts, forums, and YouTube videos.
Overview:
A client of Scalable Path's is looking for a Senior React Developer to help them modernize the front-end of their existing application. Although the primary job will be modernizing web interfaces, the client also has mobile applications so experience with React Native or at least a willingness to work with is a plus. The back-end is written in Ruby, so experience with Rails is preferred so that you can work on back-end code or stand up and endpoint if needed.

Duties and responsibilities:

Attend a daily scrum with the team

Give input on architectural patterns for the new React-based front-end

Code new features and functionality in a performant, maintainable way

Work within the company's new Design system

Implement a CMS like Contentful
Relationships - who you'll be working with:
You will primarily be working with the Director of Engineering and other members of the development team. The client is in the Pacific/Honolulu (-10:00) HST time zone.
Start date:
As soon as possible.
Expected contract duration:
More than 12 months.
