Job Description: Rx Pricing Lead (Contract) – Central Pricing Enablement will lead the definition, standardization, and optimization of centrally managed pharmacy Rx pricing strategies to support our network. This role is accountable for developing strategy, guardrails, and governance, and for translating pricing intent into system-ready requirements and testable outcomes. While enablement teams execute configuration and rollout in Kroll/KCM, the successful candidate must be fluent in how Kroll pricing strategies behave to ensure strategies are practical, scalable, and measurable.

KEY DELIVERABLES:

  • Current-state assessment: Baseline Rx pricing practices, exceptions, override patterns, and margin/competitiveness diagnostics across the network.
  • Central pricing strategy framework: Strategy principles, category segmentation, guardrails (floors/ceilings), and standard rule patterns for centrally managed pricing.
  • System translation pack: For each strategy, provide implementable requirements for Kroll/KCM (rule logic, inputs needed, expected outcomes, edge cases, and validation checks).
  • Measurement & monitoring design: KPI definitions, dashboards, and an exception management approach to track strategy effectiveness.
  • Optimization roadmap: Prioritized backlog of improvements (consolidation opportunities, risk areas, phased rollout approach).

RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategy Definition & Optimization

  • Define centralized Rx pricing strategies (guardrails, competitive posture, margin targets) aligned to business objectives and regulatory constraints.
  • Develop pricing models and decision tools; analyze historical performance, trends, and competitor signals to identify opportunities.
  • Evaluate pricing strategy effectiveness, recommend adjustments, and quantify impact using clear KPIs and monitoring.
  • Support forecasting/budgeting and business cases related to pricing initiatives.

Systems Translation & Enablement Partnership

  • Translate pricing strategies into system-ready requirements for Kroll/KCM implementation (rule intent, inputs, exceptions, and expected outcomes).
  • Review existing Kroll pricing strategies/rules to interpret operational impact and identify opportunities for simplification, consolidation, and optimization.
  • Partner with enablement resources to support UAT, validation, and rollout readiness, ensuring configuration aligns with strategy intent (without owning day-to-day configuration).
  • Define validation checks and exception monitoring to detect strategy drift, unintended rule interactions, or operational side effects.

Governance & Communication

  • Establish pricing governance artifacts: rule catalog, approval workflow, change logs, and documentation standards to support repeatable central operations.
  • Present strategy recommendations and performance updates to leadership with clear, actionable insights.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Must Have

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or a related analytical role, preferably in a project-driven, health care (pharmacy) environment.
  • Strong experience with KPI Development, performance tracking, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively across diverse teams.
  • Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Working understanding of how pricing strategies are implemented in pharmacy management systems; ability to interpret rule behavior, constraints, dependencies, and testing approaches.
  • Kroll/KCM familiarity strongly preferred (e.g., understanding pricing rule constructs, central maintenance concepts, effective dating, exception behaviors), but not accountable for primary configuration ownership.

Nice to Have

  • Experience partnering with enablement/IT teams to implement pricing rules at scale (UAT, validation design, rollout monitoring).
  • SQL/data tooling beyond Excel.
