About the role
The Division of Dermatology of the Vancouver Island Health Authority is seeking a Dermatologist to provide services to the community of Victoria.
Local amenities include excellent dermatopathology, psoriasis clinic and B.C. Cancer Agency. The Victoria Dermatology community is very congenial and meets monthly for patient rounds and journal club. The University of Victoria Island Medical Program is affiliated with the UBC Medical School.
Services Deliverables of the ROS Dermatology position include, but not limited to:
- Dermatology services provided to the community of Victoria;
- Provide training to UBC medical students and family practice residents;
- Provide outreach services to rural communities within Vancouver Island Health Authority.
- Provide acute dermatology care and inpatient consultation services at Victoria area hospital
- Provide dermatology services at the Phototherapy clinic
- Participate in Department of Medicine Meetings monthly
- Participate in Victoria Division of Dermatology meetings monthly and activities including, but not limited to, Rounds and Journal Club BC Society and Section of Dermatology Meetings twice a year.
