One of the sunniest regions in BC’s Lower Mainland, Delta embraces three unique communities – Ladner, North Delta and Tsawwassen. The City of Delta is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team and share in our commitment to lead the way in public service excellence.

The City of Delta is looking for qualified Building Service Workers to fill in auxiliary roles at facilities in North Delta, Ladner and Tsawwassen.

Responsibilities:

  • Vacuum, sweep, wash, wax and polish floors and related areas
  • Wash and clean windows, doors, shelves, walls, and surfaces
  • Wash hand basins, sinks and toilets and replenish washroom supplies
  • Collect and dispose of refuse and recycling
  • Ensure building security, answer inquiries and provide routing information and assistance to the public as required.

Qualifications:

  • Building Service Worker Certificate
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia
  • Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in janitorial work
  • Ability to deal courteously and effectively with internal and external contacts
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting

The City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $27.04 per hour + 12% in lieu of vacation, public holidays and benefits.
