Purpose of your Position - Non Union
Classification Summary - Union
An Equipment Operator I operates and maintains mobile and hand-held equipment of limited
complexity according to proper competency standards, safety practices and regulations.
Performs manual work.
Duties - Union
-
Operates equipment and vehicles including single-axle trucks, small machinery and parks implements (e.g. field line painters, aerators, stump grinders, jackhammers, small tractors and mowers) and a variety of hand and power tools .

Performs routine inspections, maintenance, minor repairs and lubrication of equipment. Refers equipment for mechanical repair and services as required.

Removes and disposes of debris and hazardous waste materials found when performing general duties .

Responds to routine public enquiries; maintains written records of work performed.

Performs manual labour work.
