ABOUT THE POSITION (What We Are Looking For)
Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Truck Driver plays a key role in the company’s logistics chain by ensuring the safe, timely, and compliant transportation of goods. This position directly contributes to operational continuity, customer satisfaction, and compliance with safety and quality standards, while working closely with internal teams.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (What We Expect)
Transportation and Logistics
Drive a Class 1 truck to deliver products to customers, company facilities, subcontractors, or to pick up materials. Verify routes, transportation documents, and delivery slips. Ensure loads are compliant, safe, and properly secured. Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues. Maintain the truck in a clean and good working condition. Communicate with the logistics team to coordinate deliveries. Comply with road safety regulations and defensive driving standards.
Support and Light Maintenance (as needed)
Perform basic checks on transportation equipment (e.g., oil levels, tire pressure). Assist with snow removal and de-icing of traffic areas during winter. Participate in minor maintenance or site improvement tasks upon request (fencing, storage, signage).
PROFILE & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (What will make you successful in this role)
Valid Class 1 driver’s license. Experience in truck driving. Experience operating forklifts and heavy machinery (an asset). Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Basic mechanical repair skills. Strong sense of responsibility, resourcefulness, and team spirit. Respectful, punctual, and professional attitude. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Bilingual (French and English) to facilitate deliveries.
What We Offer
Collaborative, flexible, family-oriented, and people-focused work environment. Group benefits: 50% paid by the employer after 3 months. Pension plan: Available after 3 months with a 2% employer contribution. In-house training available. Salary: Based on a pay scale ranging from $19.00 to $36.00 per hour. Wellness Program: Available after 3 months.
