Expectations:

  • Develop, implement and evaluate quality policies, processes and projects, and develop resources to assist the operations and manufacturing functions to be able to reach quality standards.
  • Responsible for processes related to quality control and assurance and ISO standard implementation in in-house or subcontracted work.
  • Define the appropriate and adequate procedures and measures of control for production processes and conduct risk assessments of these processes.
  • Lead implementation of new regulations and support and facilitate audits and regulatory
  • Execution of quality improvement projects and initiatives, e.g. Lean
  • Quality reporting and follow-up of improvement actions
  • Responsible for the local quality management documents staying up to date in Valmet handbook

Position Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience in pulp and paper related industry.
  • High analytical thinking and able to solve complex problem.
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma. Certification is an asset.
  • Advanced skill with computer (MS Office platform etc.)
  • Ability to read and modify technical drawings. Experience with CATIA, SolidWorks or NX would be an important asset.

La personne occupant ce poste s’efforce de fournir des produits de la plus haute qualité à nos clients. Elle est responsable de l’exécution des projets et initiatives d’amélioration de la qualité en utilisant les processus Lean.

RESPONSABILITÉS:

Développer, mettre en œuvre et évaluer les politiques, processus et projets qualité, ainsi que développer les ressources nécessaires pour soutenir les fonctions opérationnelles et manufacturières afin d’atteindre les standards de qualité.

Être responsable des processus liés au contrôle et à l’assurance qualité, ainsi que de la mise en œuvre des normes ISO pour les travaux internes ou sous-traités.

Définir les procédures appropriées et adéquates ainsi que les mesures de contrôle pour les processus de production, et réaliser des évaluations de risques associées à ces processus.

Diriger la mise en œuvre de nouvelles réglementations, et soutenir et faciliter les audits et inspections réglementaires.

Coordonner les formations qualité pour les employés afin de s’assurer que chacun possède le niveau de connaissance requis. Complexité du travail et impact sur l’entreprise : Travaille de manière autonome, ou peut diriger une petite équipe, pour mener à bien les tâches et projets assignés, en gérant les activités de gestion de la qualité d’une petite unité. Analyse et améliore les méthodes de travail actuelles. Guide et influence les autres dans son domaine d’expertise.

Exécuter les projets et initiatives d’amélioration de la qualité, par exemple via le Lean.

Assurer le reporting qualité et le suivi des actions d’amélioration.

Être responsable de la mise à jour des documents de gestion de la qualité locaux dans le Valmet Handbook.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES:

Baccalauréat en génie chimique ou mécanique avec 5 ans d’expérience dans l’industrie des pâtes et papiers.

Grande capacité d’analyse et aptitude à résoudre des problèmes complexes.

Bonnes compétences en communication et en organisation.

Connaissance du Lean Six Sigma. Une certification constitue un atout.

Compétences avancées en informatique (plateforme MS Office, etc.).

Capacité à lire et modifier des dessins techniques. Une expérience avec CATIA, SolidWorks ou NX serait un atout important.
