What You'll Be Doing As a Sr. Consultant, Business Effectiveness & Business Intelligence, you will be at the forefront of CIBC Private Wealth’s transformation journey, playing a critical role in business effectiveness and strategic enablement. You will have end-to-end ownership of our new Private Wealth Transformation Alignment Hub (TAH) and associated Partner Operating Model – designing, developing, implementing, and evolving this foundational platform to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, strategic alignment, and disciplined execution of business initiatives. In parallel, you will serve as a business intelligence advisor to leadership, delivering actionable insights that inform both our ongoing transformation and overall business direction. Leveraging data from a wide range of internal and external sources, you will monitor progress, surface opportunities for efficiency and growth, and proactively support strategic planning through market and industry research, business case development, and exploratory initiatives. This role requires a unique blend of technical acumen, analytical rigor, highly-developed interpersonal skills, and entrepreneurial drive – enabling you to tackle high-impact challenges and navigate ambiguity to deliver timely and actionably insights, and drive collaboration across a multiple teams.

  • System Development, Implementation & Enablement – Design, develop, and deploy the Transformation Alignment Hub (TAH) using SharePoint and Microsoft’s Power Platform. Create and maintain a centralized repository of business initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes. Develop workflows and automation to support initiative assessment, prioritization, approval, stakeholder updates/notifications, and change management efforts. Build user-friendly dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time visibility into the status and progress of initiatives. Leverage the platform as a strategic enabler, providing the guardrails for effective operating model execution and alignment with business priorities. Lead ongoing system evolution by addressing emerging needs, implementing enhancements, and ensuring scalability, while empowering users through targeted training and clear documentation to maximize adoption and impact.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Partnerships – Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the CAO, Marketing, Finance, Technology, HR and other Lines of Business to formalize our Transformation Alignment Operating Model, which includes their TAH partition. Partner with initiative owners to effectively connect their systems and processes to the TAH. Build and maintain strong relationships with key users and stakeholders ensuring their needs are met and fostering trust. Act as a strategic partner and consultant, proactively identifying opportunities for synergies, efficiencies, and enhanced collaboration across teams to drive transformation effectiveness and organizational success.
  • Business Intelligence, Insights & Reporting – Develop and maintain robust reporting and analytics capabilities to surface actionable insights that drive business effectiveness. Leverage data from the Transformation Alignment Hub (TAH) and other sources to monitor KPIs aligned with our strategy and transformation roadmap. Enable data-driven decision making through precise and timely business intelligence insights.
  • Strategic Analysis, Opportunity Assessment & Advisory Support – Provide strategic analysis and business intelligence support for exploratory and high-impact initiatives, including benefits estimation, alignment assessments, and road mapping. Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and SWOT analyses to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic planning. Deliver ad hoc analytics and business support based on leadership needs.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate 8-10 years of financial industry experience preferred and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred). You have a strong understanding of financial, client and operational data with ability to interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends. Relevant certifications such as CFA, CFP, or CIM are an asset
  • You are technically proficient. You bring hands-on expertise with Microsoft’s Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), as well as other key analytical and reporting tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and advanced Excel. You are comfortable designing, building, and optimizing digital solutions that enable business transformation
  • Your influence makes an impact. You know that relationships and networks are essential to success. You inspire outcomes by making yourself heard. You have highly evolved relationship building skills to develop and maintain professional networks and alliances to amplify impact within a matrix organization
