Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Pharmacy Manager to join our Pharmacy team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Associate Director of Food & Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Manager will be accountable for the day-to-day operation of the Pharmacy Walk-in Clinic at our location in St. Paul, AB.

What you’ll do:
- Delivering exceptional service through direct interaction with member-owners and customers.
- Providing confidential, high-quality pharmaceutical care and value-added customer service aligned with pharmacy operations standards.
- Scheduling, developing, coaching, training, and directing departmental personnel to ensure consistent delivery of quality patient care.
- Overseeing prescription dispensing while ensuring accuracy, safety, and patient confidentiality.
- Managing inventory, budgets, and merchandise transfer, maintaining stock levels and department assets efficiently.
- Ensuring ordering, receiving, and storage of merchandise complies with prescribed guidelines.
- Leading a culture of safety through adherence to Co-operative and legislative standards.
- Being available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends on a rotational basis.
- Building strong relationships with patients, staff, and the broader healthcare community.
- Demonstrating daily actions that reflect and strengthen our Co-operative’s purpose, values, and commitment to safety.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
The Pharmacy:
- Medium-volume pharmacy (150 prescriptions/day)
- No methadone
- Kroll paperless system
- Robotic filling system
- Hours: Mon–Fri 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Sat 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Current team includes 2.5 pharmacists and a licensed tech with over 70 years of combined pharmacy experience and 40 years of management experience. Assistants have 55 years of combined experience.
Who you are:
- You have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc.Phm.) or a Doctorate. in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a recognized institution.
- You are a Pharmacist in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy and be qualified to hold a pharmacy license.
- You are registered on ACP’s Clinical Pharmacist Register or as a Pharmacist in another Canadian jurisdiction for the past two consecutive years or more.
- In the past 5 years served as a licensee or the equivalent in a Canadian jurisdiction for at least one year, without being subject to discipline proceedings.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Retail Pharmacy Manager is an asset.
- Additional Prescribing Authority (APA) is an asset.
- Canadian Diabetes Educator Certificate is an asset.
- Asthma Action Plan experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills.
- You are customer-focused, collaborative, and build trust in all interactions.
- You believe in teamwork, value different perspectives, and work toward common goals.
