We have 2 casual PSWs vacancy position available in the Keswick area working in facilities.
Job Benefits:
- Pay $21.00 per hour
- Benefits Plan available after working 30+ hours per week*
- 4% Vacation Pay on every pay
- Flexible hours
The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide full scope of services to patients and defined needs, and/or predictable outcomes. Evaluate information from patients and other sources, and work with complex needs.
- Report and document unsafe conditions and behavioral, physical, and or cognitive changes to an appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with medication and medication reminders.
- Preparing meals for client and completing light housekeeping; such as laundry, vacuuming and mopping floors
- Respond to emergencies and urgent care
- Monitor patients' healthcare status
- Maintain a safe, secure and clean environment
- Liaise with other clinical and correctional professionals
- Practice in accordance with the security requirements of the facility
- Evaluate responses to treatment and modify the treatment plan to achieve established goals.
- Monitoring care plan and adding detailed documentation with any changes and updates
- Responding to all emergency situations
- All other duties, as assigned
Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:
- PSW certification from an accredited college/learning centre OR additional NACC certification is preferred*
- Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
- Satisfactory professional references
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
