ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)

  • Valid Security Licence

  • Emergency First Aid/CPR/AED

  • Post-secondary education (police foundations or similar) OR minimum 3 years of related Security Guard experience

  • IAHSS – basic certification

  • Non-violent crisis intervention (NVCI)

  • Certified Protection Institute (CPI)

  • Must be bondable

  • Stay safe program – tier two

  • Satisfactory attendance.

  • Morgue transfers

  • Air Ambulance escorts

  • Access Control

  • CCTV video surveillance

  • Public/Patient Relations

  • Investigations

  • Staff / Patient safety plans

  • Slip and Fall investigations

  • Fixed posts

  • Patrols

  • Lost and Found

  • Mental Health Hearing escorts

  • Code Stroke – Duties

  • Trespass to property enforcement

  • Patient/visitor wayfinding

  • Lost and found control

  • Escalating person intervention

  • Other duties assigned
