Overview The Associate Analyst, Inventory plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, visibility, and control across stores, distribution centres, and e-commerce operations. This role supports daily inventory reconciliations, investigates variances, prepares reporting, and partners with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of inventory-related issues. The Associate Analyst also contributes to month-end activities, audit requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives that help reduce inventory losses and strengthen operational efficiency. Responsibilities
Perform daily inventory reconciliations for distribution centres, stores, and e-commerce channels, including negative inventory and goods-in-transit analysis. Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and complete required adjustments in partnership with Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Operations, and Loss Prevention teams. Prepare and publish weekly and monthly inventory KPIs, aged inventory reports, and other analysis to improve visibility and support decision-making. Respond to inventory-related requests and tickets from stores, distribution centres, and e-commerce teams in a timely and service-oriented manner. Support inventory recall events, transfers, licensee inventory onboarding, and other operational inventory activities as required. Complete month-end activities, including inventory-related reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, shrink provisions, and support for external audit requirements. Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, reduce inventory losses, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain and follow inventory policies, procedures, and company values while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accountability in daily work.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset. 1–2 years of experience in inventory control, finance, supply chain, retail operations, or a similar analytical role. Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an asset. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with reports, reconciliations, and large data sets. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify discrepancies and follow through on resolutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English, as this role requires communication with stores outside of Quebec. Ability to build strong working relationships with internal partners across multiple departments. Availability to work according to business needs during month-end, inventory periods, and other key operational moments.
