Summary of This Role
The purpose of the position is to certify new products and integrations according to Card Associations rules and compliance

What Part Will You Play?

  • Provide technical support to the product group and merchants on new products and integrations.
  • Attend walkthroughs of solutions and provide technical feedback and guidance to the product group.
  • Prepare customized POS test scripts for each solution.
  • Generate Test Scripts and verify results from this test execution.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for new certifications.
  • Assist external developers in fixing variances.
  • Provide training and create documentation as required to all business units for certified solutions.
  • Perform pilot monitoring and analysis prior to rollout of certified solutions.
  • Provide status reporting to the manager as required.
  • Provide technical advice, support and guidance to developers and Product Team.
  • Develop and manage relationships with POS developers, third party processors, Project Managers, Sales and other business areas.
  • Coordinate testing with technicians from partner companies to implement quality assurance procedures before actual deployment of the POS system, and to continue testing procedures during the system in use.
  • Test and analyze POS systems with test plans, test kits and test cards, execute tests on POS systems against compliance from the payment requirements of Master Card, Visa Card, Debit Card, American Express, Discover other Card and Credit card companies.
  • Duplicate the scenario during the test execution phase; analyze, investigate, and report individual or specific defects to software developers.
  • Analyze situations that may create future problems or operations issues and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Other projects or tasks, as needed.
  • Remote position, but must be based in the GTA for easy access to Toronto business locations.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

  • College degree in Business, Administration, IT or related field.
  • 2-5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Bilingual (French / English) is required
  • Ability to follow all company policies and procedures as well as internal departmental procedures to ensure consistency.
  • Ability to follow, investigate and assess issues to make certain the correct solution is implemented.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills to communicate clear specifications and reports to internal and external resources and manage client’s expectations.
  • Tandem and Base-24 knowledge.
  • Focus on detail, problem-solving and investigation skills required.
  • Knowledge of Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, etc) and Interac operation rules and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities of varying complexity under time constraints.
  • Willingness to take ownership for own work to continuously improve performance.

Responsabilités Principales

  • Agir en tant qu’expert en la matière pour toutes les nouvelles certifications

  • Aider les développeurs externes à corriger les écarts et variations

  • Offrir des formations et créer la documentation nécessaire à toutes les unités commerciales pour les solutions certifiées

  • Effectuer une veille, ainsi qu’une analyse avant le déploiement des solutions certifiées

  • Fournir des rapports d’états au gestionnaire au besoin

  • Développer et gérer les relations avec les développeurs POS, les processeurs tiers, les gestionnaires de projet, l’équipe des ventes et toute autre domaine d’activité connexe

  • Coordonner les tests avec les techniciens des entreprises partenaires pour mettre en oeuvre des procédures d’assurance qualité avant le déploiement réel du système POS et continuer les procédures en lien avec les tests pendant l’utilisation du système

  • Tester et analyser les systèmes POS avec plans de tests, des kits de tests et des cartes tests

  • Exécuter des tests sur les systèmes POS en lien avec les exigences de paiement de Mastercard, Visa, carte débit, American Express, etc.

  • Copier ce scénario lors de la phase d’exécution des tests: analyser, enquêter et signaler des défauts individuels ou spécifiques aux développeurs logiciels

  • Analyser les situations susceptibles de créer des problèmes dans le futur ou des problèmes d’exploitation et offrir des recommandations en conséquence

Qualifications requises

  • Baccalauréat en administration des affaires, en informatique ou tout autre domaine pertinent
  • Minimum de deux années d’expérience dans un rôle similaire
  • Bilinguisme (français/anglais) sera considéré comme un grand atout
  • Capacité à suivre toutes les politiques et procédures de l’entreprise et du département pour assurer une cohérence en toute circonstance
  • Capacité à suivre, enquêter et évaluer les problèmes pour s’assurer qu’une bonne solution soit mise en place
  • Excellentes compétences de communication et de rédaction de manière à communiquer des spécifications et des rapports clairs et précis aux ressources internes et externes tout en respectant les attentes des clients
  • Connaissance de Tandem et Base-24
  • Minutie, bonne compétence en résolution de problèmes et bonne compétence d’investigation
  • Connaissance des cartes de crédit (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, etc.) et des règlements d’exploitation propre à Interac
  • Capacité à gérer plusieurs activités et tâches complexes à la fois sous des contraintes de temps
  • Volonté de s' approprier son travail pour constamment améliorer ses performances
