About the role

Reporting to the Manager Financial Operations, the Analyst – Financial Operations will primarily support the firm’s traders, as well as process and communicate fixed-income and equity trades to our trustee. In addition, the analyst will manage treasury activities on rotation. The ideal candidate will have developed his/her sense of priorities, be rigorous and will be able to work efficiently under pressure. TCC offers a complex financial environment in which the candidate will be able to develop an in-depth understanding of the operational processes tied to the trade lifecycle. Responsibilities

Apply the various processes tied to settling fixed-income and equity trades. Ensure the integrity of systems data in order to provide high-quality management information to the business units responsible for the investment. Play a proactive role with the trustee and various counterparties in trade settlement. Stay abreast of the various technicalities of international markets. Support traders. Reconcile transactions, cash balances and positions between our internal systems and our different custodians. Manage treasury activities and cash balances in different funds/accounts to avoid overdrafts. Recommend improvements to procedures and help implement them.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, administration or relevant discipline. Experience in financial operations, an asset. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.). Bilingualism (English and French): This position requires bilingualism at the professional level to provide support to clients and employees located outside of Quebec or who require services in a language other than French. Knowledge of various financial systems: Eagle Star, Bloomberg AIM, desirable.
