This a 6-month Fixed Term opportunity.
About the role:
The Portfolio Specialist provides hands-on administrative support for mortgage portfolio operations. This role is focused on completing routine, process-driven tasks that help keep daily workflows running smoothly for the Portfolio Specialist team. In this position, you’ll manage shared inboxes, generate statements, update banking systems, and maintain accurate records and files. The work is structured, detail-oriented, and guided by established procedures, making it well suited for someone who enjoys organized, task-based work and takes pride in accuracy.
About the day-to-day:
- Provide general mortgage administrative assistance to the Portfolio Specialist team.
- Manage shared email inboxes, responding to routine inquiries and redirecting items as needed.
- Generate and process mortgage statements and related documentation.
- Perform banking system updates, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Support insurance and property insurance administration, including document collection and system updates.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic files.
- Complete general administrative tasks such as saving documents, tracking requests, and completing cleanup projects.
- Follow established procedures closely and escalate questions or issues when required.
About the qualifications:
- 1+ year of banking or mortgage administration experience, or experience in a similar role.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple administrative tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when processing information and updating systems.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, particularly on repetitive or process-driven tasks.
- Comfortable following standard operating procedures and asking questions when clarification is needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with PPlus considered an asset.

About the work environment:
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Compensation:
The expected salary for this role is approximately $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
