The Position Mission
The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful execution of Caliber’s construction projects by coordinating site activity, documentation, schedules, permits, trade communication, quality control, safety requirements, and project administration. This role works closely with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor, consultants, sub-trades, suppliers, and clients to keep project details organized, issues moving forward, and construction activity aligned with local and provincial building codes while embodying Caliber’s values of Own It, Crush It, and Love It.

Position Summary
The Project Coordinator (PC) role at Caliber Projects Ltd. is a full-time position that is project based. The position is best suited for an innovative, hands-on type person with excellent character. The ideal candidate will also have good communication skills and will have the ability to work in a multi-disciplined team environment. The PC should be flexible to the changing needs within a fast-paced construction environment and be able to adapt accordingly. The PC reports to the Project Manager (PM) and is responsible for overseeing the Construction activity at the project site. The PC will coordinate with the superintendent, sub- trades and suppliers concerning site construction activity in accordance with local and provincial building codes.

Administrative
Initial project costing and budgeting. Tender, negotiations and award trade and supplier contracts on behalf of Caliber Projects. Administer and approve trade change orders, as required. Design, development, and completion of working documents. Develop project scheduling of major activities and milestones. Coordinate all on site construction activity. Prepare and submit monthly progress draws and related materials. Coordinate specific project requirements with all parties to ensure all requirements are met. Coordinate consultants, trade contractors and site staff in resolving issues. Comply with all OHS regulations. Implement trade specific quality control methods. Arrange required permits from Municipalities. Maintain an effective level of communication with the client. Document minutes for owner, subtrade and consultant meetings. Generation of RFI’s,SI’s etc with distribution to stakeholders. Drawing review and drawing management.
Personal
Maintain a good working relationship with all sub trades and employees by personally demonstrating integrity, honesty, hard work, respect, passion, and innovation. Conduct all construction activities with customer satisfaction as the number one goal. Maintain the highest possible quality in all work constructed. Understand all impactions of the course of Construction insurance policy. Maintain a clean working environment for all trades and employees at the project site. Prepare and record weekly site meeting minutes in conjunction with site supervisor.
Qualifications & Competencies
A Management Degree or Diploma is an asset. 2 years of construction experience in wood frame construction, commercial construction, or Health Care. A Strong proficiency with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent organizational skills with discipline and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and provide solutions using sound judgment and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read construction-working drawings. Procore proficiency is an asset.

The Project Coordinator helps keep the site moving efficiently, supports quality and safety expectations, resolves issues with sound judgment, and contributes to a clean, organized, and positive project environment.
