Overview

The Saskatchewan Research Council’s Rare Earth Element Division is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to support the construction and commissioning of SRC’s Rare Earth Processing Facility. This position is a 12-month term.

Accountabilities

  • Support the installation, troubleshooting and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment for the Rare Earth Processing Facility
  • Participate in the calibration and testing of electrical systems and equipment
  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of electrical equipment installations
  • Work with a multidisciplinary project team including engineers, technologists and tradespersons
  • Provide general support to commissioning and testing activities

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician is required
  • Open to all years of experience
  • Experience with power distribution (600Vmax), circuit and instrument wiring

  • Adaptable to shifting priorities, competing project demands, and tight deadlines, while demonstrating sound judgment, resourcefulness, initiative and innovation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective collaboration with the project team and supervisors

The chosen candidate will also be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.

This position is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
