Salary Range: $112,338 - $131,420 annually
Status: Permanent full-time
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

The Pines has been serving seniors with care and dignity in our community since 1961. Our cozy and comfortable home encompasses five resident home areas (one secure) and has four wonderful courtyards with plenty of outdoor spaces to roam about.
The Opportunity
As the Assistant Director of Care, you will be responsible for the day-to day management of Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers in delivery of resident care. Manages clinical, compliance, in-service education, and continuous quality improvement functions.
What you will do
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the nursing division’s delivery of high-quality resident care.
- Manage employees in a manner consistent with District values, policies and procedures, including work scheduling, training and performance evaluation.
- Ensure that employees work safely and in compliance with the relevant statutes and regulations and with the safe work procedures and directives as established by the District.
- Maintain, develop, and monitor policies, procedures in accordance with legislative and corporate standards for nursing staff, residents, families, medical staff, and service providers.
- Establish staffing patterns and work schedules and monitor and adjust as necessary.
What you will need
- University graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent;
- Registered Nurse with a Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices and techniques in long term care.
- Over 3 years managerial experience in a health care setting.
- Proven ability to design and implement new concepts and to accomplish performance objectives.
- Demonstrated highly developed skills in: leadership, team building, organizational development, customer service, written and oral communications and technological proficiency.
