Independent Tax & Bookkeeping Contractor (Remote – Talent Pool)

Build a Long-Term Relationship with a Growing Firm We are a growing boutique bookkeeping and tax practice serving small businesses across British Columbia. As our client base continues to grow, we are building a network of experienced accounting professionals to support future client engagements. This posting is intended to build our talent pool for upcoming contract opportunities. While we may not have immediate work available for every successful applicant, qualified professionals will become part of our preferred contractor network and will be contacted as projects arise. We believe in flexibility, trust, and giving experienced accounting professionals the freedom to do great work without unnecessary micromanagement. If you enjoy working independently, communicating professionally, and producing high-quality work, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Complete bookkeeping files independently using QuickBooks Online Prepare account reconciliations and supporting working papers Prepare Canadian personal (T1) and/or corporate (T2) tax returns, depending on experience Communicate professionally regarding file progress and client requests Meet agreed-upon deadlines with minimal supervision Qualifications Previous Canadian bookkeeping and/or tax preparation experience Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online Ability to work independently and manage assigned files Reliable internet connection and home office Ability to respond to emails or messages within 24 hours Located in the Greater Vancouver Area, as occasional client file pick-up or document collection may be required Preferred Qualifications CPA designation or CPA candidate Experience with TaxCycle, CaseWare, Dext, and other accounting software Experience with GST, payroll, year-end files, and financial statement preparation Compensation Compensation is project-based and commensurate with experience.
